The design process from a conceptual drawing to a visual perspective.

Dream it

The first step is a consultation to discuss the brief for your project. This can be in your home or we can meet elsewhere to go over your architect’s plans. I will listen and gain an understanding of your vision and specific requirements for the space, and measurements and details will be collated.

It can be overwhelming with so many products to choose from in the marketplace, and I will guide you to ensure you choose wisely with your budget in mind. This stage will give you a clear understanding of how the process will work best for you and I will then send a proposal confirming the scope of work required.

Design it

The design process will begin with initial conceptual drawings that I will present to you for discussion. This stage can take some time with adjustments made to plans to ensure you have a unique tailor-made design that you are happy with and ticks all the boxes. The plans will then be drawn up in more detail with floorplans & elevations & 2 or 3D renders as required.

Specifications and product selection, colours and materials will be fine-tuned and confirmed. Plans will then be submitted for pricing.

Build it

Upon approval of the quotation, a site meeting will be organised with the cabinetmaker to confirm all the measurements and details of your space. Once again, the plans will be altered to suit the site parameters and then submitted to the cabinet maker for manufacture to begin within a confirmed timeframe. The final plans will be shared with other associated sub-trades and I will assist with any details they may require in preparing the site.

When the cabinetry is ready at the factory, we will meet and view it prior to being delivered to the site. The cabinetry installation will then take place followed by the templating of any benchtops prior to manufacture. Once the benchtops are installed, the final fit off will happen and your new space will finally function and come to life!
